Digital Strata Releases Version 3 of Entity Agent

The Industry's Premier Tool for Entity Management is Now Available as A SaaS Model

CAMPBELL, Calif., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Strata, a Silicon Valley based developer of software and services for enterprise-based legal teams, is proud to announce the release of version 3 of its industry-leading entity management software, Entity Agent(TM).

The new version of Entity Agent is a significant evolution in the development of this management platform, now enabling almost any sized company to benefit from this advanced method of managing corporate entities.

Version 3 is the first version of Entity Agent to be available as both an installed product, and as Software as a Service (SaaS). Further, the new version is now database-agnostic, and can be run on any one of several commercially available databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer, and SQL Anywhere.

"The new version of Entity Agent answers significant market demand for a new architecture for Entity Agent," says Digital Strata CEO Dan Fischler. "The ability to run on several databases and the SaaS deployment model means that a much larger segment of businesses now have an advanced entity management tool available to them."

The SaaS model enables companies to utilize this time- and money-saving software without concerns about integration to existing IT infrastructure, administration costs, or deployment issues. This advanced entity management software provides a centralized database to store any entity-related information, such as board members, tax status, holdings, corporate documents, and even meeting minutes.

"The menial tasks of entity management are now almost entirely automated. Even the most complex questions are answered quickly and accurately," says a Lead Corporate attorney for a major consumer electronics company. He also notes that there are an enormous number of details that all need to be handled correctly. Once you go beyond three or four entities, a tool like Entity Agent becomes essential for both efficiency and good governance.

Entity Agent has the ability to manage all of the details concerning corporate entities, including free-form details such as board meeting minutes and structured data such as tax status, event calendar, and signature authority information.

"I couldn't do this job without it. It's vital to maintain control and access to critical information. Now everyone gets the same information and our pace of work has increased," says a corporate paralegal. Their ability to manage their entities from spreadsheets had caused significant problems. She finds that Entity Agent is a crucial tool for staying confidant that they have every detail right and that all of the corporate governance requirements are met on schedule.

"We are excited at the new release of Entity Agent," says Fischler. "Its availability as a SaaS model is going to make it that much more valuable, in terms of cost savings and ease of use." He concludes, "This is a benchmark in Digital Strata's history of bringing advanced, more efficient, tools to corporate legal teams."

The Jevons Paradox suggests that when technological advances increase efficiency of a resource, it results in an overall increase in consumption. Writing on the increased use of coal as a result of technological improvements, 19th-century economist William Stanley Jevons found that these improvements led to the development of new ways to utilize coal. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Mark Thiele, Chief Strategy Officer for Apcera, compared the Jevons Paradox to modern-day enterprise IT, examin...
