DLT Solutions, a leading value-added reseller in government information technology (IT) hardware, software and services, today announced that it was one of the winners of the recently announced GSA Email-as-a-Service (EaaS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). Offering comprehensive solutions including office automation, integration services, and electronic records management, DLT Solutions was selected for its experience and ability to deliver Google Apps for Government as well as migration services.
Google Apps has millions of active users including federal, state and local government agencies. This offering provides the opportunity for government entities to procure cloud email services in a government-compliant and governmental-only environment.
“As a valued Google partner, being a part of this contract is incredibly important to us,” said Rick Marcotte, president and CEO of DLT Solutions. “Through the collaboration of DLT’s sales team dedicated to Google and the DLT Cloud Advisory Group, we have been very proactive in helping our customers migrate to cloud based solutions. This BPA enables DLT Solutions to provide the increased services and secure acquisition of Email-as-a-Service solutions to the public sector.”
EaaS enables agencies to use a provider’s email applications running on a third-party infrastructure, accessible through a thin client interface such as a web browser. Features and functionality include:
- Providing your mobile workforce with access to their email from anywhere
- Getting faster updates for enhanced functionality and security
- Managing your licenses and deployment more efficiently
The contract has a two-year base period with three 1-year options and covers all federal, state, local and tribal governments to have access to cloud email services. Terms of the BPA include set Service Level Agreements (SLAs), security (via FEDRAMP) and pricing. This includes detailed ceiling pricing and the ability of industry partners to offer discounts greater than GSA Schedule 70 pricing. The BPAs have an estimated value of $2.5 billion.
