Spinnaker Support, the global market leader for SAP and JD Edwards third-party maintenance, co-sourcingSM, and consulting services, announces the availability of the Q Series Integrator for all JD Edwards (JDE) World Payroll Customers in North America. The Q Series Integrator will give JDE World Payroll users on version A7.3 through A9.2 a solution to integrate vital payroll tax functions in the Vertex Payroll Tax Q Series (PTQ) without necessitating an upgrade to World A9.3.
Vertex announced that the retirement of its Payroll Tax L Series (PTL) product will occur in December 2013, affecting JDE World US and Canadian Payroll users on version A7.3 through A9.2 currently utilizing PTL as their tax calculation and reporting solution. Subsequently, Oracle replaced its PTL interface with the PTQ interface in its latest version, World A9.3. Until today, the cumulative effect of the Vertex and Oracle decisions was that all World Payroll users (A7.3, A8.1, A9.1, and A9.2) must upgrade to A9.3 in order to be provided with the necessary integration to PTQ. With the Q Series Integrator from Spinnaker Support, those World clients faced with this decision now have a choice.
“When Spinnaker Support first became aware of the Vertex and Oracle announcements regarding the migration to Q Series, we knew the World user community needed a better option,” said Matt Stava, Managing Principal of Spinnaker Support. “Because payroll is such a critical function within all organizations, we put our resources to work on creating a solution to extend the life of the older JDE World versions for these customers.”
Available immediately, the Q Series Integrator delivers real-time integration between the defined World version and the Vertex PTQ product. Implementation of the solution includes all development, testing, and consulting services, and takes an average of four weeks. Spinnaker Support has customers currently in Beta, with an expectation of over 100 implementations in 2013. Initial feedback points to the fact that the Q Series Integrator works flawlessly, has minimal impact, and is a more cost-effective alternative to an upgrade, migration, or outsourced payroll services. The Q Series Integrator will be supported by Spinnaker Support for as long as the solution is in use.
“We understand that not all JDE World Payroll users will want to go through a costly and time-consuming upgrade to A9.3 by December of 2013,” continued Stava. “We estimate the Q Series Integrator will save a customer tens of thousands of dollars that can be redeployed to other IT projects.”
