Virtustream, Inc., the leading enterprise class cloud solutions provider, today announced the opening of new offices in the United Arab Emirates to meet growing customer demand for migrating mission critical applications to the cloud. Gartner estimates that 2012 IT spending in the four emerging regions of Asia/Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, and Central and Eastern Europe, will generate $1.22 trillion1, representing more than 31 percent of the worldwide total IT spend.
With the opening of new offices in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, Virtustream will continue its growth in the Middle East. The new offices will enable customers in the region to migrate easily to the cloud and they will also extend the company’s existing operations in the U.S. and Europe, while strategically adding to existing partnerships in China and Asia.
Simon Aspinall, chief vertical markets, strategy and marketing for Virtustream, commented, “The Middle East has rapidly expanding economies, a burgeoning technology scene and rapidly growing IT spend. By dedicating resources to this region, Virtustream can accelerate enterprise adoption of enterprise class clouds.”
Julian Lloyd, vice president, cloud advisory services, EMEA, Virtustream, added, “Virtustream’s unique cloud µVM technology enables mission-critical applications to be moved to the cloud with assured performance and delivering all the cloud benefits of scale, dynamic and on-demand IT. As a region, the Middle East will rapidly adopt this world-leading technology.”
