Today InsightSoftware.com, the developers of leading-edge, comprehensive ERP reporting solutions for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and JD Edwards ERP, unveiled a game-changing new product in addition to new enhancements to its award-winning software suite. The powerful new product is Insight Designer ExpressTM, which allows IT and power users to easily create drag-and-drop custom report templates that match their unique business needs. Templates are created in minutes, not days, providing the business with real-time information for daily and critical business decisions.
Insight Designer Express delivers organization-wide value by giving finance and business owners interactive, up-to-the-minute information they need by pulling data from any EBS module and/or external data source. The application is live in one day, without an extensive implementation process or data warehouse. With Insight Designer Express, users can:
- Increase visibility by viewing information from any EBS module and/or external data source in real-time – including custom tables.
- Accelerate report creation by combining data into one view with a simple drag-and-drop.
- Reduce strain on IT with repeatable customized report templates.
In the new release of Insight for Oracle E-Business Suite version 2012.2, Insight has added more pre-built templates to further enhance efficiency and accelerate the ability for their customers to deliver the right information to the right people at the right time across the organization.
Recognizing that many companies have upgraded to EBS R12, or plan to soon, Insight has added a new Subledger Accounting (SLA) template for R12 users that draws in additional information from key AP, AR, FA and PA module transactions. A new side panel allows users to see detailed information from the Subledger modules on a single screen, eliminating the need to drill-down to the original transaction.
“Every organization balances the need for different sets of financial and business information for different people with the constant pressure to have that information real-time so in-the-moment decisions can be made. Despite what some of our competitors believe, these requirements don’t have to be mutually exclusive,” said Glenn Wirick, Vice President of Product Management for InsightSoftware.com. “With out-of-the-box templates, our customers can immediately deploy a real-time reporting solution. Equally important, rapid creation of custom templates means information traditionally locked inside Oracle EBS can now be seamlessly integrated into a real-time reporting solution to specifically match their needs.”
The latest version of Insight for Oracle E-Business Suite also includes a new Cash Management Module that enables users to report over bank statement data to help analyze transactions and aid investigations for reconciliation. All Insight products are now available on a 64-bit platform and the new Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication eliminates the need for Insight users to enter their username and password before starting each new session. Finally, users can also take advantage of new templates for purchasing (POP), general ledger (GL) and payments (AP).
Insight Designer Express and the enhancements to Insight for Oracle E-Business Suite are available today. Current Insight customers can upgrade their software suite by opening a new case in the Customer Portal.
