Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/lnkksh/global_enterprise) has announced the addition of the "Global Enterprise Platform as a Service Market 2011-2015" report to their offering.
TechNavio's analysts forecast the Global Enterprise PaaS market to grow at a CAGR of 56.65 percent over the period 2011-2015. One of the key factors contributing to this market growth is the need to reduce total cost of ownership. The Global Enterprise PaaS market has also been witnessing the increasing adoption of PaaS during the economic downturn. However, the increasing concern about data security could pose a challenge to the growth of this market.
The other vendors mentioned in the report are Amazon.com, Intuit Inc., Longjump Inc., Red Hat Corp., Appirio Inc., VMware Inc., CloudBees Inc., Engine Yard Inc., Rackspace Inc., Oracle Corp., BMC Software Inc., and Bungee Connect Inc.
Commenting on the report, an analyst from TechNavio's Enterprise Computing team said: 'The organizational infrastructure is becoming more complex with the use of multiple application platforms and complex equipment. Hence, organizations are forced to invest more resources and money into the management of applications infrastructure. With Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), organizations are able to dynamically manage and maintain enterprise applications through third-party vendors. Since PaaS vendors are able to provide complete infrastructure management solutions, organizations are able to focus on their core business activities rather than deal with the common issues of application infrastructure management. Hence, the increasing need of organizations to focus on core business activities is one of the major trends in the Global Enterprise PaaS market.'
According to the report, one of the major drivers is the need to reduce total cost of ownership. The less-complex interfaces and self-service provisions of cloud computing are also helping many enterprises manage application infrastructure with limited resources.
Further, the report reveals that the increasing concern about data security is one of the major challenges confronting this market.
