Fresh stats from Canaccord suggest Apple has pulled off quite a coup. For September, its iPhone 5S was the U.S.'s top-selling smartphone on all four major networks.  Forbes reports the second best-selling phone was the iPhone 5C, which many grumbling commentators say wasn't cheap enough or interesting enough to appeal to the general public.  Read Original Content

According to Reuters, BlackBerry is exploring sell-out possibilities with Cisco Systems, Google and SAP. The company is in talks with these companies about selling them all or parts of itself. Mobile app stores will generate 82 billion app downloads in 2013, up from 46 billion in 2012, an almost doubling of the market, according to new data from Portio Research. The latest figures show Windows Phone gaining little traction in the U.S. smartphone market, mired at 3.2 percent market share in August. And that's just the beginning of the bad news for Microsoft in the U.S. mobile market.  According to comscore, as of August, Windows Phone had only a 3.2 percent market share, up only 0.2 percent since May.  Read Original Content
