Oracle Solution Provider Core Services Snags Major Win with Diversified OEM Supplier, Stewart EFI

Industry proven solution, Oracle(R) E-Business Suite, is chosen over competitors SAP, Microsoft, Epicor, and Plexus

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Oracle OpenWorld -- Core Services today announced that Stewart EFI recently selected the Oracle(R) E-Business Suite to replace an aging, heavily customized, proprietary application software package. Stewart EFI is one of the largest international suppliers of precision progressive die and deep drawn metal stampings, slide-formed components, and automated and secondary assemblies.

"Stewart EFI is well known for our customer dedication and constant push to exceed customer requirements by working smarter, striving for continuous improvement and remaining disciplined," says Philip Rejeski, Stewart EFI's Vice President of Operations and General Manager. "With a forecast of dynamic, planned growth in the near future, we realized we needed to replace our outdated ERP system, and purchase a software package that will have the flexibility to grow with our diverse customer and business needs," Rejeski continues. "The Oracle E-Business Suite was one of many competing ERP packages Stewart EFI evaluated. Oracle's offering stood out as the most flexible solution and the best fit for our needs.

"As a Tier 2 Automotive Supplier, amongst other industries served, Stewart EFI also required a consulting partner that understood not just their industry, but also their specific business needs. With over 15 years exclusively focused on the Oracle Applications industry, Core Services, a Certified Partner in Oracle PartnerNetwork, is uniquely qualified to sell both Oracle software licenses and provide the implementation services which will allow Stewart EFI to "go-live" quickly.

"Core Services has years of expertise in the manufacturing industry," says Kirsten Haussermann, VP of Core Services' Consulting Group. "Once we understood the complexity of Stewart EFI's business, and its "build to order" environment, Core was able to draw from our multi-plant, supply chain planning experience to demonstrate the true, distinguishing strengths of Oracle's offering and the depth of Core's consulting capability."

One of Oracle's strengths is its rapid implementation methodology for new application deployments. Oracle Accelerators are based on relevant industry requirements, specific business transactions and functionality. "Stewart EFI will realize multiple benefits with Oracle Accelerators," says Haussermann. "This will help create lean manufacturing configurations and processes leveraging demand-driven release management, keeping in line with Stewart EFI's current Lean Manufacturing philosophy."

Additional applications of which Stewart EFI will take advantage include Oracle Product Lifecycle Management. Oracle Product Lifecycle Management offers quality analysis specific to the automotive industry. "To ensure total product quality and reduce variation, the overriding objective at Stewart EFI is to make each product right from the start," says Rejeski. "The Automotive industry is tightly tied to product lifecycle management, and the industry specifications are uncharacteristically stringent as compared to other manufacturing industries," Rejeski continues. "We are confident that Core Services and the Oracle E-Business Suite will help us continually meet these industry requirements."

It was Core Services' attention to detail and level of understanding of Stewart EFI's business needs that helped Core Services win Stewart EFI's confidence, and ultimately their business. "We realize that every client has special needs and we can cater to those unique requirements rather than treat a client as an "ordinary" Oracle Applications customer," says Jim Bistis, CEO and Founder of Core Services. "Core Services is flexible, nimble, and extremely responsive to our clients. Superior support and the flexibility to help our clients have allowed Core to exceed a 98.5 percent client retention rate, and to assist unique clients like Stewart EFI to take advantage of the strengths Oracle's products offer and thus achieve greater success."

"We are confident that with the Oracle E-Business Suite, and the help of Core Services, we will have an information system that allows us to service our customers successfully for years to come," concludes Rejeski.

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals.
