The US Army is testing a "smart rifle" technology designed to improve the accuracy of shots. The technology allows the user to place a virtual tag on a target seen through the weapon's scope. If the trigger is pressed, it fires only if the gun is correctly lined up. Read Original Content

Google has acquired SlickLogin - an Israeli start-up behind the technology that allows websites to verify a user's identity by using sound waves.  It works by playing a uniquely generated, nearly-silent sound through computer speakers, which is picked up by an app on the user's smartphone. Global smartphone AP suppliers will see their shipments to China grow only 13.5 percent on year and drop 3.1 percent on quarter in the first quarter of 2014. Intel is reportedly preparing to launch two new lines of mobile processors at the 2014 Mobile World Congress, to be held in Barcelona. Research commissioned by the EU suggests European mobile app developers will earn as much as €63 billion (£51.8bn) in revenue by 2018, when the sector will employ almost five million people. Boeing has now delivered its first B747-8 aircraft that will be completely line fitted with the in flight AeroMobile mobile technology service that will then be expanded across many more.
