40% of BPA Consumer and B-to-B Members Now Reporting Digital Editions

SHELTON, CT -- (Marketwired) -- 08/14/14 -- The count of media owners reporting digital editions continues to grow for consumer and b-to-b publications as nearly 40% of the brands audited by BPA Worldwide now report electronic circulation, according to an analysis of audience data for the six-month period ended December 31, 2013.

According to BPA, 538 print titles (b-to-b and consumer) reported digital circulation for the period, a 3.3% increase compared to the six months ended June 2013. The global assurance provider also notes that digital now accounts for about a quarter (24%) of all qualified circulation, up from 23.5% six months before.

Consumer magazine, DuJour, jumped to the top of list of publications claiming digital audience with 3.3 million electronic copies reported on its initial Brand Report. Other titles high on BPA's list in terms of total average digital circulation included PM Network with an average of 365,568 electronic copies, a 10% increase over the prior period; IEEE Spectrum with 172,168 copies (+47.3%); and Oracle with 153,732 copies (+13.1%).

As a percentage of total qualified circulation, DuJour and Renewable Energy World reported 100% digital subscribers. Following closely, Public Safety Communications reported a total circulation with 91.5% digital, while PT in Motion reported a total circulation with 90.6% digital; Pharmaceutical Engineering with 90% digital; and Hydro Review Worldwide with 85.9% digital.
